Els petits cantors
"Els Petits Cantors" is a choir of boys with mixed voices which is composed by more than forty members. When the repertory makes it necessary the Choir is complemented by invited singers, some of them are usually old Petits Cantors.
The Choir has its own see in the Church of Santa Eulàlia in Encamp, where the musical and choral training takes place. With its singing, The Petits Cantors get to transmit an integration message which goes beyond the cultural, socials and linguistic differences.
The Petits Cantors obtain an integral training during their extracurricular timetable, four times a week. The vocal work is complemented by specifically sing stays and with a non stop training in solfa and piano. At the same time of all this traineeship the Petits Cantors learn how to make an effort, to live together, to be supportive and disciplined.
The purpose of The National Choir of Petits Cantors, nowadays, as it was in the past, is to present the Andorran culture around the world. It is also a function of the Petits Cantors the broadcasting of the sacred music as well as the choral music of Andorran and Catalan authors and also international composers.
